The person who answers when we get it wrong.

If a decision about your account was wrong, if a refusal went unexplained, if your data was handled badly, or if a report you made went nowhere — this page names the person whose job it is to answer you, in writing, within a stated time. Not a form. Not a queue. A name.

1. Write to the Grievance Officer

VIOBE is operated by Truly Worlds Groups Private Limited. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, we are required to name a Grievance Officer and to publish how to reach them. This is that person.

Before you write

Please write in English or Hindi. Write from the email address or phone number registered to your account, and include your member number if you have one — it is on your profile in the app. This lets us confirm the request is genuinely yours before we act on it. Do not attach identity documents unless we specifically ask for them through a secure method.

2. What the Grievance Officer handles

Your data

Requests to access, correct or erase your personal data. Withdrawal of a consent that has not taken effect. Questions about how your identity material, photographs, messages or verification records were stored, accessed or shared. A nomination under the DPDP Act.

Decisions about your account

An application declined or returned, a suspension, a removal, a membership that was not renewed, or introductions that were paused. A different person from the one who made the original decision reviews it.

Complaints about another member

Where a report you made in the app was not dealt with, or where the outcome was inadequate. Content that should be removed, including anything published or shared without your consent.

Billing and refunds

A charge you did not expect, a cancellation that did not take effect, an invoice that is wrong, or a refund we declined. This includes purchases made through the App Store or Google Play, though refunds for those are ultimately processed by the store.

3. How quickly you get an answer

What we commit to
StageWithin
Acknowledgement, with a reference number24 hours
Complaints under the Information Technology RulesResolved within 15 days of receipt
Non-consensual, sexually explicit or morphed imagery of youRemoved within 24 hours of a valid complaint
Data-protection grievances under the DPDP ActAnswered as soon as possible, and in any case within 30 days
Safety matters involving risk to a personImmediately, ahead of everything else

If we need longer — because a matter is complex, or because we are waiting on something from you — we will tell you before the deadline passes, and say why.

4. What to put in your complaint

  • Who you are. Your name, your member number if you have one, and the phone number or email registered to your account.
  • What happened, with dates. If it concerns a conversation or an introduction, tell us roughly when it took place.
  • What you want. A correction, an erasure, a reversal, a refund, a removal, or simply an explanation — tell us which, so that we do not answer the wrong question.
  • Anything you have. Screenshots and references help, though we can look up most things ourselves.

5. If we do not resolve it

If the Grievance Officer's response does not resolve your data-protection complaint, or if we fail to answer within the times set out above, you may take the matter to the Data Protection Board of India, established under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Approaching us first is expected, but nothing on this page limits any legal remedy available to you. For consumer matters, you may also approach the consumer redressal forum with jurisdiction over you under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. If you are writing from outside India, you keep whatever rights your local law gives you, and you may still use every route described here.

6. Please use the right door

A formal grievance is the slowest route, because it is the most careful one. For several things there is a faster door, and using it does not stop you escalating here afterwards.

Immediate danger
Contact your local emergency services first and us second. In India, call 112; the national women's helpline is 181. We are not an emergency service. We will cooperate fully with any lawful request.
A member behaving badly
Report from the conversation or the profile, or write to care@viobe.app. That route is faster than a formal grievance. See the Safety Center.
A question about your data
Read the Privacy Policy first, then write to care@viobe.app with “Privacy request” in the subject.
Deleting your account
You can do it yourself in the app. How deletion works, and what is purged when.
Anything else
care@viobe.app

One more thing

We would rather hear from you than have you leave quietly. A grievance is not a nuisance to us; it is the only reliable way we find out where the service is failing people. It gets read by a person, and it gets answered by one.
