1. Current website position
At the effective date above, the public VIOBE website does not use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioural tracking, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not sell website activity for advertising.
Ordinary browsing does not require a marketing-cookie banner because we do not currently place optional advertising or analytics cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law before activating those technologies.
2. Essential technology and server logs
Our hosting, security, content-delivery, or network providers may process technical requests needed to deliver and protect the website. This can include IP address, browser and device information, request time, requested page, referring page, response status, and security signals. Providers may use short-lived cookies or similar storage only where necessary for security, routing, load balancing, fraud prevention, or remembering an action you requested.
These technologies are not used by VIOBE to build advertising profiles. Blocking essential technology may prevent a page, form, security check, or preference from working correctly.
3. Links and third-party services
The website may link to app stores, payment providers, social networks, maps, email, or other independent services. When you follow a link or use an embedded third-party feature, that provider may set its own cookies or collect information under its own policy. VIOBE does not control independent third-party storage.
4. Your controls
You can inspect, block, or delete cookies through your browser settings and use browser privacy controls where available. Deleting browser data does not delete a VIOBE member account. To erase a member account, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page.
5. Retention
Essential cookies, if used, are retained only for the period needed for their function. Server logs are retained for periods reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and resolve incidents, then deleted, aggregated, or de-identified according to operational schedules.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our website or providers change. Material changes involving optional tracking will be disclosed and consent will be requested where required.
